Staniel Cay feels like a place the world forgot…. but in the best way!! Tucked into the Exumas, this quiet Bahamian island offers endless turquoise water, gentle island rhythms, and a sense of calm that instantly slows time. Island time to be exact 🏝️
For couples dreaming of an elopement that blends romance with adventure, Staniel Cay is truly unmatched. This elopement was about creating a day that felt intentional, immersive, and deeply personal. Where the experience mattered just as much as the vows themselves. Staniel Cay offers the rare balance of intimacy and adventure. With no crowds, no schedules, and no pressure to perform, we were all free to move through the day at our own pace.
What makes this destination especially special is its access to nearby islands and experiences, from the famous swimming pigs to snorkeling thunderball grotto, all just a boat ride away.
For this elopement, the day unfolded slowly, intentionally, and with room for exploration. One of the most important parts of planning a Staniel Cay elopement is logistics. I love this island and have spent my childhood coming here with my family. This destination is closest to my heart, sharing everything the island has to offer with a beautiful couple means the world to me. Being on an island such as Staniel Cay requires planning and when done thoughtfully, they create a seamless experience. I’m here to help getting there, staying there, and returning home is as seamless as the ceremony itself.
In addition to photography and video, I helped plan the flow of the day, including:
* Coordinating locations for the ceremony
* Mapping island routes for the best light and conditions
* Building in time for rest, movement, and spontaneity
* Choosing the ideal order for each experience
Rather than rushing from place to place, the day was designed to feel calm and immersive — allowing each moment to be fully experienced. Before an intimate ceremony, the day was full of a soon to be husband and wife being one. Sunrise vows read to eachother on the dock just steps away from a beautiful cottage. Getting ready on the porch of that cottage overlooking white sandy beaches and turquoise waves quietly splashing on the shore. A bumpy golf cart ride to a private ceremony on the beach and ending with a luxury dinner at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.
Before the ceremony day I helped curate an adventure my amazing couple would remember for a lifetime.
We traveled by boat to nearby islands, each offering something completely different:
• Swimming with the pigs, where laughter and playfulness took over
• Visiting nurse sharks, calm and awe-inspiring in crystal-clear water
• Snorkeling a gorgeous grotto, surrounded by color and quiet beneath the surface
These experiences weren’t treated as “activities” — they were woven naturally into the day, becoming part of the story and the imagery. The result was a celebration that felt alive, joyful, and deeply connected to the place.
Because this elopement included both photography and video, the approach was intentionally fluid.
Movement, sound, water, and emotion were documented in a way that preserved the feeling of the day — not just how it looked. From boat rides to quiet moments between islands, each piece was captured with care and restraint.
The goal was never to interrupt the experience, but to document it as it unfolded.
This Staniel Cay elopement wasn’t about checking boxes or following a rigid plan. It was about presence. About choosing adventure without losing intimacy. About letting the location guide the day, rather than forcing moments into place. Elopements like this remind couples that a wedding day can feel expansive and personal at the same time — grounded in connection, yet open to discovery.
If you’re dreaming of an elopement in the Bahamas — especially in Staniel Cay or the Exumas — planning support is essential. From boat routes to timing and island access, thoughtful guidance allows your day to feel effortless and intentional. If you’re envisioning a celebration that blends romance, adventure, and experience, I’d love to help you create something truly meaningful.
